Freeing the Artist Within

Over a six week period, ‘Freeing the Artist Within’ offers the opportunity to explore the creative process. Eileen Casey is a Hennessy Award winning writer who has also facilitated ‘The Living Well,’ and ‘Life, Love and Laughter’ Courses. Using various techniques, participants will journal, use imagery and symbols in imaginative ways, create portraits of the authentic self, among others to explore pathways to creative blossoming.  This six week course costs 85euro. Eileen Casey originally from the Midlands, lives in Tallaght, South Dublin. Her debut poetry collection Drinking the Colour Blue was published by New Island. Snow Shoes (Arlen House), a collection of short stories was published in 2012. She has won many national and international awards for both poetry and fiction, including The Oliver Goldsmith International Poetry Award, 2008, and the poetry category winner in The Green Book Festival, 2010, Los Angeles. Her awards for fiction include A Hennessy Literary Award (Emerging Fiction), The Cecil Day Lewis Prize, The Maria Edgeworth Award, South Tipperary Literary Festival Award, Listowel Writers Week (short fiction) Awards.
